Zimbabwe: Fresh calls for re-dollarization As the Zimbabwean dollar continues to weaken against the US dollar, some lawmakers have called for the official dollarization. The move was last operated in2009 when the local currency was dropped and replaced mainly by the US dollar after an episode of hyperinflation.
